Course Type National Certificate (Vocational) NC(V)
What is NC (V)? The National Certificate (Vocational) is a new set of national qualifications designed to provide people with a high level of marketable skills. Each of the programmes provides in-depth knowledge in its specific field, opening doors to NC (V) graduates in a range of occupations within its specific field.
How long does it take? 3 Years (1 year per level). Each of the 3 NC (V) levels currently offered to take 1 year to complete. Ideally, students should complete all 3 levels.
Which qualification/certificate does a learner obtain on completion? Full Certificates on NQF Level 2, 3 and 4Full Certificates on NQF Level 2, 3 and 4NC(V) Level 4 Certificate is equivalent to National Senior Certificate(matric)
Who is NC (V) for?  NC (V) is for anyone who wants to gain the knowledge and practical skills necessary to assess the career of their dreams. The minimum entry requirement is Grade 9/NQF L1 Qualification + college requirements set per program.The programme is very challenging and is well suited to with higher qualifications who want to access a specific field.
How and when can you enroll? Applications are open via Central Applications Office (CAO) as from applications are open via Central Applications Office (CAO) as from January for the following year. E.g. Apply in 2019 for 2020. The College will have a college date for all applications preferably the end of October of the application year.

What is NATED /REPORT 191? The programmes consist of 18 months of theoretical studies at colleges and 18 months relevant practical application in workplaces. Engineering studies range from N1 – N6 while Business and Utility Studies range from N4 – N6

Course Type Skills Programme
Description /Definition These programmes are based on a cluster of NQF registered unit standards and are offered under the auspices of SETAs and quality assured by SETA ETQAs. Skills programmes can build up to a full qualification.
