Richtek campus hall was buzzing with traditional music at the Heritage Day celebration on 29 August. There were various performances by students and staff with the aim to embrace heritage. Guest speaker, Mchazeleni Mthembu engaged the audience about the history of Shaka Zulu and how the 24th of September became a day to celebrate heritage since it is the anniversary of the death of the Zulu king. This paved the way for other cultures to celebrate heritage. The day was topped off with a scrumptious traditional meal.
