Sithembiso Sibusiso Mantengu is an excellent example that uMfolozi TVET College produces the cream of the crop. Born and bred in Ophondweni Mtubatuba, Mantengu enrolled for a Business Management Course at Esikhawini Campus in 2006. In 2008, he began his in-service training at the same campus. In 2010 he was appointed as an Examination Officer where he executed his tasks exceptionally well.
“uMfolozi TVET College is the future for many more people who are serious about taking their careers to the next level. I gained a lot of experience at the College I was also able to develop a positive mind set which assisted me in achieving my goals for the future,” said Mantengu who was appointed as the Open Learning Coordinator assisting a number of students with their online studies.
Mantengu has inspired many students that a Diploma from the College mixed with passion for one’s craft, can certainly take them to greater heights. Mantengu who has always been passionate and willing to solve any student related queries and maintains good relations with DHET officials in order to assist students was recently appointed as the Senior Examination Officer.
“My daily motivation is to see myself assisting students in their learning journey and to see them embark on the online/distance learning approach. In 5 years, I see myself as one of the most successful staff member who will produce remarkable results for the college and who is always hungry for greater things to achieve in life,” he concluded.
