uMfolozi TVET College was part of an exciting Career Guidance Day for grades 9, 10, 11 and 12 at Masibumbane High School in Ulundi. The aim of this event was to promote the progammes offered at the College while assisting high school learners to make informed career choices.
Marketing and Communications Coordinator, Nelisiwe Zikhali highlighted the advantages of studying at a TVET College. She cited partnerships with industry as one of the advantages of studying at uMfolozi TVET College, “Our industry partners help us secure in-service training opportunities for our students by turning their workplaces into training spaces so that by the time they graduate they have the hands-on experience that is required in the workplace,” she said.
She spoke in depth about the study opportunities available at the College, the application process and funding opportunities. She urged learners to take advantage of these opportunities and apply on time to make sure that the process of moving from high school to an institution of higher learning is a smooth and easy one.
