Chief Albert Luthuli Campus held an informative Men’s conference at the Campus Library on 30 July. Speaking at the gathering for male students and staff, Nkosenhle Mngadi advised men to work tirelessly in order to succeed.
Mngadi went on to say, “What makes a man flourish is how perfectly he handles his responsibilities. Take care of the family that raised you and also remember to take care of the family you have created so that your children can live comfortably even after you have passed on. Cultivate your mind and make sure you live by the correct principles.”
Speaking about creating and maintaining financial freedom, Clement Mathonsi spoke against laziness emphasizing that it can contribute to being poor. He advised the men to ensure that they contribute to their retirement annuity savings and educate themselves about setting up a trust fund.
He also spoke about 3 types of mindsets:
- Poor Mindset- A person earns money and exhausts all the funds.
- Middle income Mindset-They earn money to buy liabilities
- Rich Mindset-Money is used to buy assets so that they can purchase liabilities with some of the profit.
