
A promising new chapter has begun for Sibonisile Mbatha, an Electrical Engineering graduate from uMfolozi TVET College’s Esikhawini Campus. She is among 2 graduates selected to participate in a 12‑month internship programme in China, facilitated through a collaborative initiative between the Chinese Culture and International Education Exchange Centre (CCIEEC) and the Transport Education and Training Authority (TETA).
This esteemed programme extends beyond the scope of a conventional internship. It serves as a gateway to international exposure, advanced technical skills development, and meaningful cultural exchange. For Mbatha, the opportunity signifies the culmination of years of dedication and perseverance, while marking the beginning of a journey that will expand her professional and personal horizons far beyond the classroom.
She recently embarked on this journey, departing from OR Tambo International Airport to commence her internship abroad. In reflecting upon her achievement, Mbatha conveyed her sincere gratitude for the support and guidance that she has received from uMfolozi TVET College.
