Esikhawini Campus gears up for 2020


Students were warmly welcomed at the Esikhawini Campus Induction on Monday, 20 January 2020. In his speech, Esikhawini Campus Manager, Khayelihle Zulu encouraged new and returning students to choose the right friends. “Show me your friends, I’ll show you your future. Don’t waste time, life is about making the right choices. Don’t become someone’s entertainment. Everyone that was absorbed here is capable therefore, you can make it. We’re a vibrant and active campus, you’ll enjoy your stay here,” reiterated Zulu.

Inclusive Learning Project Coordinator, Sizwe Mbhense advised the students on how to treat the visually impaired. He said, “A disability is anything that can hinder you from performing your level best. Please respect these students and only offer to help them upon request and please, speak to them politely.” Simphiwe Ndima gave an overview of the College, while Thandi Mchunu went through the code of conduct. Jabu Sikhakhane explained the role of the Student Support Services Department and invited the students to visit SSS for counselling sessions.  She went on to say that the department also assists students with study methods and offers a wide range of sports and recreation societies which include choir poetry, Ingoma boys and girls that have put the college on the map.
