



Bambanani Campus hosted an informative NSFAS Indaba where students were guided on funding rules, academic requirements and ways of utilizing allowances responsibly recently.
The College Senior Bursary Officer, Mr Mthokozisi Zulu shared the following key highlights as per the NSFAS guidelines:
* Students should meet all academic progression requirements to remain funded.
* They should avoid dual registration at different institutions.
* It’s vital for students to submit correct banking details and relevant documents on time.
* Allowances are subject to NSFAS policy guidelines.
Mr Xolani Ngubane from Standard Bank, encouraged financial discipline, budgeting and distinguishing between needs and wants. Ngubane shared practical advice on investing, reminding students that financial discipline starts now.
During the Q&A session, students gained clarity on how funds are allocated and the importance of submitting required documents promptly to ensure timely allowance payments.
According to Nqobile Nxawo an NC(V) level 3 student, the Indaba served as a valuable platform to equip students with knowledge and perfectly promoted accountability in managing their funding. The day was completed with top achievers receiving laptops from NSFAS which will have a major impact on their academic performance.
