These are the words of Hlengiwe Dlamini, a former Richtek Campus student whose determination to create a better future has seen her build a career in the engineering industry. Today, she is permanently employed as a Rigger at Bell Equipment.
Hailing from KwaNomyaca in Ndlangubo, Hlengiwe says her background played an important role in shaping her ambitions. The challenges she experienced strengthened her determination to pursue education and develop skills that would create better opportunities for her.
Driven by her passion for engineering, Dlamini chose to pursue a career in a field that demands technical knowledge, responsibility, teamwork and problem-solving skills. Her journey from a TVET student to a permanent employee demonstrates how education, practical skills and determination can open doors to meaningful career opportunities.
According to Dlamini, her journey is far from over. She hopes to gain additional qualifications and valuable practical experience as she continues working towards becoming a highly skilled and competent professional in the engineering and rigging industry.
